all I bought was food for taki & hwoarang, but I had a great time while I was there!
you know how much of an ordeal my sis makes everything - she had the little store guy walk us through "the jungle" and spew bits of info I'd have never known otherwise.
highlights:
- I got to hold a lemur (flashback to zoboomafoo)
- made faces with a monkey-type thing called a marmoset (he was sticking his tongue out at me)
- this other type monkey offered to trade me his food for my bag of hamster food (brought it up & placed it on the windowsill while eyeing my bag)
- I poked a scorpion (I decided agst holding it myself)
- had a parrot hold my finger w/ it's beak (and I could lift it up and stuff)
- I held some sort of boa... it was an albino, I remember that (that baby grows up to eat little thai men)
- I foiled a ground squirrel's attempt to escape (he was busting outta his cage)
- played just a little bit with the ferrets (they're babies and very frisky)
- ~and~ the little worker guy went in & taunted the 15 foot cobra so we could see him riled up (that guy is my hero!)
seriously, it was great.
